Windows XP to Windows 7: Will Be a Bumpy Ride

It seems Microsoft has made a big mistake by not allowing an upgrade path from Windows XP to Windows 7. This means that the users of Windows XP have no option of upgrading to Windows 7 and will have to buy and clean install Windows 7.
Microsoft has said that the new Windows 7 operating system can easily run on netbooks and this has even been demonstrated by Windows 7 developers, but it seems that Microsoft didn't realize that most netbooks are running on Windows XP and since Microsoft has not offered any upgrade path form XP to Windows 7, most users will be reluctant to change to the new operating system. It seems that this time Microsoft has got itself into a situation that is going to be very tricky to handle.
